After weeks of spending time listening to various music blogs and reading through magazines , I decided to make a mixtape that will fit heavily into our current season : spring. I do not have to list all associations with this season , do I?

The A Side opens with emotional chill-wave hymns which do all share the same dreams and promises of an unknown , yet bright future. Chill-Wave is in fact on the verge of becoming very succesful in the US and does bring back memories of 80’s soothing pop and epic shoegaze reverbness. I’ve had to tell Nessi that she’d get her mixtape when she bribed me with some chocolate ( taste great! ) and after she confessed ” Bibio” ( Warp Records ) being one of her favourites , I knew I had to make this particular mixtape. ( Sorry, there’s no Bibio on it , because she already knows him – be sure to check his myspace page ).

The B Side , on the other hand , will take you to a new level of glitchy , but phenominal electronica. Crossing electronica with ghostly choirs , blips and still preserve sounding sophisticated and deliberate , these tracks are the right choice to take you back to our present. Most of these artists are based in cities where rap and hip-hop culture have their heights , it will not strike you as odd , when you’ll listen to it. This in fact , makes them even more listenable.
